Do Not Judge

Have you ever felt like EVERYONE is judging you? Oh I have.....but we have to remember God is our Judge and Jesus is our witness....His blood covers our sins
Luke 5, 6, and 7
S: Luke 6:37-42

O: Jesus is telling them not to judge others, not to condemn them. We look at our friends and families sin but forget we too have sin.

A: Wow! So I know that this has not changed in ALL the years since Jesus preached it! We as people try to ignore our own sins and try to "fix" others sins. It is NOT our job to fix them but to guide them and then Jesus will fix them! We are not to look at their sin until we have examined our own.

P: Lord today I ask that you help me have a kind heart and therefore kind words will flow from my heart. I want to be all about Your business, not my own. Thank You for loving me when I Never have deserved it :)

You are my ROCK in which I want to build my life!

A Road Worth Traveling

A ROAD WORTH TRAVELING

Directions to Emmaus, Abu Ghosh, Israel
16.3 km – about 3 hours 30 mins
(10 MILES)
FROM Jerusalem, Israel

S:Luke 24:13-33

O: The Mary's had found the tomb empty and ran back and

told the 11 what had happened and they all thought they were

losing it. 2 of the 11 took off toward Emmaus. They were

discussing what had happened over the course of the last few

days. Without reveling himself Jesus starts to walk with

them. and asks them some questions.

A:Do we know when Jesus shows up while we are traveling

through this life? Are we paying attention to Him or are we to

wrapped up in our day to day lives, and do not hear His

words to us?

P:Jesus I thank you for talking to me and being patient with

me. I have to be hard to deal with at times because of my

stubborn and sinful nature. Please open my heart and mind

to be able to Hear MORE and learn more so I can help others

to see your light!

Pick Up Your Cross

Day 12 of 30 Days to read the Gospels

So today I realized that some days you gotta read the passage yourself and take away from it what you need out of it at the moment. Because my understanding won't be even close to yours. Or you may not be ready to understand it fully. It depends on how far you are in your walk with Jesus. I am getting to the point that I am understanding more and more of what Jesus wants us to do in His name. It is not always pleasant and pretty....It isn't all Lovey Dovey..... sometimes, people who stand up for Jesus die and become a martyr for Jesus, one of the passages I read today reminded me of that.
Mark 8:34-35

It is one thing to hear the stories and feel sad for these people, but these people died doing something they loved and something they believed in. It makes me look at those who are martyr's in a whole new way. I do not feel as sad, but amazed at the faith they had.

I hope you can get a deep meaning and it helps you in whatever struggles you are facing today.

US OF LITTLE FAITH

DAY 11 MARK 3-4-5

S: Mark 5:25-34

O: a woman is bleeding and has been for 12 years. She has spent every single thing she had on the hopes that a doctor, ANY doctor could heal her. She hears of Jesus and knows the stories of healing. She is miserable and knows in her heart of hearts that she doesn't even need to bother Him, but just needs to touch his cloak. But her faith in it is so strong that Jesus feels the power she has taken from Him. Even though he was in a large crowd He felt it.

A: In these days we go to doctors and spend all we have on cures that are band aids. Things that don't always seem to help only cover up our symptoms. We all need to believe and have that woman's faith. We can touch His cloak every single day, by reading His word. We are all of such little faith. We let the evil thoughts enter in and won't let our faith grow. We let the fears of worldly things put an overcast on our lives.

P: Today Lord I pray for the unhealthy people in my life. I pray for miraculous healing over each and every one of them. I ask that they be given a sense of peace over them tonight and I ask that my faith in your healing be enough to strengthen them and heal them completely. Thank you Jesus in your heavenly name, Amen!

I realize when you are knee deep in pain it is very hard to have faith in healing, at the moment you feel like it will never end. So I pray that when whoever may read this, they will think of some people who might not have the faith or strength to help themselves and that you pray and truly believe in the healing powers of Jesus. :)

30 DAY READING PLAN

WOULD YOU LIKE TO READ THE GOSPELS IN 30 DAYS?

Learn From The Past

Day 10 November 2, 2012

Learn From The Past

S: Matthew 28: 1-8

O: Jesus had died and was buried then when the Mary's go to visit Him the earth quakes, the guards look dead from fear, the MASSIVE stone is rolled away, a very, very, very MASSIVE stone,

I might add, and an angle of the Lord looking like a bolt of bright lightening is chillen on the top of the stone.
Then the Mary's walk away to do as they were told by this angle and run into Jesus, the dead guy they were going to see. WOW! What a day and the sun just had come up!

A: My friend Patty and I were talking today and now I truly understand our conversation. God puts us in places to help us learn and He did not disappoint today!
Sometimes I make it a big deal when I don't have a good hair day! We have let the minor little problems become our whole LIVES. If we look back on what it was like to be a Christian then and now, ummm I choose NOW!. I have to apply the past to my life so I can move forward to where God is leading me.

P: Lord I humbly ask you to show me issues from the Bible that make my issues look small. I ask you to keep my heart wide open to all of your teachings in my life. I want to do the best I can for you. In your Precious name, Amen.

Jesus Teaches Us Not to be Stumbling Blocks

Reading the gospels in 30 days day 6

I have just started a class in our church called E.L.I emerging leaders initiative. We are doing daily devotionals and writing a journal about them.
We then follow the SOAP format to writing in our journals.
(I borrowed this from Leann's Blog she worded it so well :) )
S: Scripture. I write down the scripture that sticks out to me, letting the holy spirit be my guide.
O: Observations, What's going on in the scripture and what is He showing me in it?
A: Application. -How does this apply to my life and the world we live in.
P: Prayer. WRITE DOWN my prayers. Then I can look back and see how God has answered it and how my life has been changed since then.

So I read Matthew 16-17-18 today and the verse that stuck out the most and opened my eyes to a new understand of it, was chapter 18:6

S: Scripture

Causing to Stumble

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

O: Observation

Jesus was telling everyone not to cause a "child" to stumble, to sin. But the word "child" is not truly literal. I am understanding now it means ANYONE of God's children who believe in Him. Could be a

5 year old or a 55 year old.

To God ALL believers are his children. The things that people create in which causes a believer to stumble or

the Lord says "woe to that person".
It is inevitable that bad things will come, says Jesus, but you do NOT want to be the one that brings the bad things that cause believers to stumble.

A: Application

Man I have children and I think back and remember places in time I have caused them to stumble, let them stumble, did not stop them from stumbling. I did not even realize what I was doing. We seem to build on each other in this aspect. You say one wrong word against another and you stir up a hornets nest. You teach your child or friends to lie for you, you are causing them to stumble. WOW!

P: Prayer

Lord Jesus, I thank you for covering my sins with your precious blood. I ask for your forgiveness of those things which I have done to cause others to sin and ask you to forgive those who sin against you in their foolish ways that they themselves do not understand.

I thank you for the amazing place you are taking me in this life. I pray that you help me by guiding me as you always have and nudge me a little harder when I side step off the path. Lord I want to be a light unto others NOT a dark spot. I want others to see and know LOVE from me. Thank you for the blessings you have shown our family.

Amen

Winter oh winter where did you go winter? LOL

We truly did NOT have a winter this year. My home state of Colorado saw a much larger amount of snow than we did here in North Dakota.
Over all we have had a wonderful last few months. Although, a couple sad things happened to us in December. One of my bestest aunts in the world paced away suddenly and it happened so fast it was shocking. This came right after I had heard my best friend in Florida Linda, her mom passed the day after Thanksgiving....Then on our way to Colorado another great friend in Florida, Sarah, passed away as well. It was a very hard few weeks! We traveled to Colorado for my Aunt Carol's funeral and then back home. (Ya no snow until we reach Colorado during the whole trip....kinda crazy)

So the rest of the time since my last post has been pretty darn good. Dan is still working on finding a suitable home based business so we do not have to be apart for 5 days a week. It is a daunting task but I try to help him as much as possible. He is doing okay, the job is getting intense because they put a few people in charge that NOBODY likes and they are not equipped mentally to know what they are doing. And there are always a lot of safety issues driving the truck Dan drives. I think he said it was a 90' tank....crazy.

Leann is still working at the day care that our church New Song of Bismarck, provides working parents of the community. She truly enjoys those little kids sooo much. She will be starting GED classes in July and will be taking her test in November. She is also starting a little side business painting things and selling them. She is saving all of her art money for mission trips. She has a head and heart full of dreams of sharing Jesus with kids in Guatemala, then onto Mercy Ships  . She is gearing up for that and is so very excited about it! This little girl of mine has grown up into a blessing for so many people, including myself. She keeps my mind going in the right direction daily! :) Love her sooo much!

Tristen is doing so very good in church as well. He is a greeter at the early services and he loves the job. He also volunteers for the radio station that our church has called Club Radio.....If you ever want to hear some pretty good Christian music online you can at Club Radio Live   If you listen in on Tues and Thurs from 4:30 to 6:30 pm CST Leann and two of our good friends do The Awesome Afternoon Show

Samantha has just started taking piano lessons and she is catching on so quickly she is flying through the books she is assigned which is awesome! She also had to get glasses this year. She is almost done with the school year and we are all looking forward to an amazing summer!

Speaking of which we are taking a trip to Colorado as a WHOLE family! Dan is coming along! We are looking forward to a couple of family reunions to see EVERYONE that can make it! So excited about it! We are also spending a week with just the 5 of us in a condo and looking forward to that together time. Seeing how Leann is turning 18 this year, kinda hard not to take an AMAZING vacation before she spreads her wings......

As for me, well, I QUIT smoking Feb 2! Whaooo! (Dan is still working on it) The youth pastor, Aaron, at our church asked if I would like to take a volunteer position as head of our Access center. We have never had this position so it is ALL brand new stuff for everyone! Which is cool but also kinda freaky.....It is up to me to decide how to run it. But I have a few amazing helpers! Josh is our tech communications guy who helps me a bunch, then there is our church secretary who, well the church would NOT run without Patty, she has become a rock for me to lean on. Over all we are doing really well. I have many a wonderful volunteers as well! (thanks to them who serve the Lord with Joyful hearts)

Over all we keep pretty busy and look forward to slowing down a little this summer, but this could be wishful thinking! :) Which as long as we are spreading the seed of Jesus, we don't mind being busy! :)

Almost forgot we also joined up with the program Kids Bowl Free for the summer and it started May 1st and goes through Aug. So this is going to be keeping us busy as well. You should see if it is near YOU it is a program all over the US!

Have a wonderful next few months! (since I seem to only write here that often LOL)
